My method of working is of always actively sensing, feeling, conceptualizing -, looking;

then seeing,
capturing the essence;
internalizing my impressions and allowing the gradual filtering through the depths of my consciousness,
culminating in the moment,
with a series of eruptive and frenzied applications of paint to canvas.

I try very hard to paint directly without a preconceived idea of outcome, channeling the moment to the canvas.
Engaged, I strive to achieve the movements and textures that communicate my perception of the world in which I live.

There are no lines.

I explore form through the dynamism of atmosphere, interpolations of light, and the expansion / compression of space.

My work is of the dance that is paint.

This can be seen through the brushwork, the densities and translucencies of the medium all comprising to form the finished painting.

Compositionally, much of what I do is traditionally based, utilizing devices and visual cues that invite the eye to move and explore the work by embracing the paint.

I present my ideas as conscious flows of visual poetry; as visual treats, textural and compositional moments.

My current work seeks purity, the image of non image.
It is of the paint probing perceptions of what is not before you;
that space in your mind that perceives and feels but is not limited to, nor confined by, knowledge or definition.

I am that I paint.
